There will be a couple of bridges to cross. The adult course is a shorter course in terms of length with more technical sections in both climbing and descending. There will be several small new cuts used as connectors from one established trail to another to keep the flow, and, there will also be a new set of very technical switchbacks, (12), used as a descent with a planned B-line for the Friends and those not wishing to attempt them.
There will be a start loop for all categories so the spectators can get a good look at the racers.

FAQ:

 1) Does at least one member of the bring the friend team need to be a member or can both be non-members ?
All BAF participants can be non-members, but they can only ride the BAF course, after the races have occurred.  In the past, the BAF was a race, but the format for this year’s event is a ride after the races (both KOM and Cup race) that non-members can ride.  It is designed to both showcase the Birch facility and introduce/encourage Mtn biking in general.

2) If they are a non-license holder they will only be allowed to race in the lowest category (sport for example, not comp).
In order to participate in any of the actual races, an individual needs to have a minimum Citizen license and race in that category. The cost of the one day Citizen Licence is $50.00.

3) Are non-members/BAF riders entitled to collect Cup Points ?
Cup points are not awarded to non-members or Citizen races.
